In a letter sent Friday, board members demanded “a fully executed contract in the coming days” — an extraordinary ask given that the two sides remain far apart on key issues and are gearing up to bring in a neutral fact-finder to assess the district’s financial situation and the potential impact of union proposals in December.

This will be a comedy show.
Can CPS just declare bankruptcy and let the judge clean up this mess with firing them all and offering them a new contract similar to the rest of the state teachers norms (still generous).
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
