"These programs are a public safety disaster, but at least the Sheriff’s electronic monitoring program had law enforcement officers monitoring these individuals, who have the power of arrest when defendants break the rules. ... The Chief Judge’s staff can only request that an arrest warrant is issued, which will just go on top of the current pile of almost 32,000 criminal arrest warrants at the Sheriff’s Office."
Appalling! Seems to me that lots of people, including the voters, have blood on their hands.

How many & who are either CC Sheriff or now CC Court employees that are responsible for “monitoring” EM program would seem an appropriate question? Or, could “monitoring” be performed by EM vendor?

What else would anyone expect from someone who said that now all areas of Chicago are experiencing what traditionally high crime neighborhoods experience? She doesn’t care about crime.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
