Chicago advocacy groups sue Trump administration, ICE over ‘retaliatory’ deportation raids – FOX32 (Chicago)

Said Sheila Bedi of the Community Justice Clinic, "In Chicago, the Trump administration isn’t just trying to unleash arbitrary immigrant enforcement. The impending raids are a brazen attempt to stomp out the sanctuary city movement and run roughshod over the First Amendment. ... This lawsuit is about prohibiting the Trump Administration from using law enforcement to decimate a vital social justice movement."

If you are illegally here and have committed crimes, you don’t have rights under our Constitution. Most of the lefty lawyers will even agree with that, yet are still taking too many liberties with a Constitution that never anticipated a country being invaded. Even the founding fathers didn’t think we would be this stupid, and didn’t include language to exclude illegal criminals. The US has never seen such a blatant disregard for our country’s rules and freedoms than what we experienced in the last four years including covid lockdowns, riots and now illegal criminals. Good luck with that! Maybe Trumps DOJ can drain your little organization into oblivion. You know, how the Left always tries to do to conservative groups!

This game is over. The socialists sued for non-enforcement of Federal Law. Not a good plan.

The ability of these allegedly benevolent organizations to pay legal fees instead of benefiting their alleged constituents highlights the need to eliminate taxpayer funding of these professional agitators.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
