I understand the concern about the follow-up by the State Police. But considering approximately 50% of the calls to 911 in the city go unanswered, this seems lower priority, and not surprising. And someone providing the statistic on what percentage of the gun crime in Chicago / Cook County is perpetrated by people without a FOID card would be interesting. I would assume it is 90%+, as the local criminals do not give a sh*t about following any law passed in Springfield
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.

Who’s policing the police?
