Illinois Republicans pleased redistricting lawsuit moving forward – Center Square

The Illinois Supreme Court looks poised to review the state’s legislative maps and whether they were illegally drawn to favor Democrats. Illinois Republicans filed a lawsuit asking the state’s highest court to throw out the maps, saying they are an example of extreme partisan gerrymandering and are unconstitutional under state law.

I live in the 9th….it goes from Wrigley field top\o Crystal Lake…that’s 3 counties…if representation is about people with similar issues, what do I living out in the cornfields have in common with the bureaucrats in high rises on LSD?

If IL Republicans want anything approaching satisfaction on this issue, they will have to take it to SCOTUS and out of the IL kangaroo courts.
