Just look at the fraud level surrounding the PPP program initiated during COVID and you’ll get an idea of how these Guaranteed Income Programs will end. The great benefit of DOGE is its display of the monumental corruption of government largesse.

Really it comes down to whether it makes a difference. A lot of time it seems like they claim success, but the results don’t hold up to scrutiny. So how many people who are considered minorities will get this money? If they use the criteria of being a minority I declared myself being white as a minority. According to world population white people consist of between 800M-1.2B or 10-15% of the entire world.
So where is my check?

Bet non of that money will be spent in suburban Cook County, or given to non minority seniors.

It is a gimmick but not just a gimmick. It’s also a form of reparations, as is her long time hard line pro criminal, anti prosecution, anti criminal penalty, anti police approach.

Hmm….I thought fed bucks had to be spent on what they were appropriated for. Money to fight epidemics is now given away with no strings attached to folks who don’t do a thing to earn it. No wonder gold is at $3300 per ounce. Weimar Germany here we come.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
