If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Poor people have poor people’s problems. Simple as that. More property available to buy for those of us who saved our money during our working years!
No one likes to be gouged and that is what is happing in Illinois. Many other states offer a higher quality of life at a much lower cost. High taxes tax away the equity in your homes.
“People leave because they simply can’t pay that anymore.”
I think it’s more a case of people leaving because they don’t want to pay the high PTs anymore. Also, they’re disgusted to learn how that money is being so irresponsibly spent.
Anyway, all are valid reasons for leaving.
Moved to IN. Home is worth more but property tax is thousands lower and city services are better. Low crime and good roads.
