Lion Electric bankruptcy raises concerns over state’s EV incentives – Center Square

Once a cornerstone of Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s green agenda, Lion Electric’s Joliet plant will auction its equipment on May 15 after declaring bankruptcy, despite a $50 million state incentive. Darrell Bruck, co-founder of the Kankakee-based group Outrage that opposes the Gotion development, calls it a “cautionary tale” for taxpayers.

‘Once’? Lion Electric remains the center of JB the Hutt’s paean to the Climate Clerics. He thinks it’s a success. The Hutt thinks Lion Electric will just dip into its offshore trust fund and keep on spending just like he does. This is the only economic theory the Hutt understands.
