State Rep. Bill Hauter said he was disappointed in the budget approval process this year, and said Republican lawmakers felt “frozen out.” Democrats revealed the details of the budget 48 hours before the deadline. “There’s very little time for us to even look at the budget, figure out where the money is going, and really do the transparent accountability that the people of Illinois should demand," Hauter said.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
It’s not enough that Democrats gerrymandered districts, they don’t want anyone looking at the budget before passing it.
