5 new bills help fix Illinois education, but more is needed – Illinois Policy

Illinois lawmakers passed five education reforms focused on literacy, transparency and career pathways that await Gov. JB Pritzker’s signature before they become law. The bills signal a renewed effort by lawmakers to improve student outcomes and equip families with the tools needed to support their children’s success.

Maybe if IL would require teachers to teach language arts, math, US history and science, not lefty propaganda, student outcomes would improve. Evaluate teachers based on student test scores and require every student to be tested. If teachers aren’t raising test scores, investigate why and take steps to improve education. Deb rid of the slugs.
