Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
Remember what Harris said “ I wouldn’t change a thing”. Look what happened to her.
“We can win and our policies work – as long as there is an endless supply of other people’s money or endless debt financing…”
“Stratton aims to bring Pritzker administration policies to national stage”…….ummmm. Yes. Right. Go with that ‘winning’ message. Keep digging that hole Democrats AKA Communists. Keep. On. Digging.
Cook County votes totals in the 206 Senate race…..Democrat 80%, Republican 16%, other 4%.
Welcome Senator Stratton another unqualified democrat anointed to a job. Thanks Cook County, you idiots.
With the big lug gone she thinks the job will be hers. Putzger figures have a female minority member back him will change everything
It has worked before. How else would Chicago get stuck with Mayor Cliff Notes?
Yes please make sure the nation knows the state is bankrupt with the highest debt of all states because of JB and the democrats.
Guess she has drank the J.B. kool-aid
This is great!
Anything that boxes in the Dems because of them always taking the 20% side on every single 80/20 issue is an absolute positive for the entire country.
So I want her to stick up and be loud about trans rights, DEI, illegals and raising everyone’s taxes. You go girl!
She has an important role to play in making Gen Z and Millennials vote red in as many elections as possible for the rest of their lives.
Never let a dumb Democrat go to waste!
Last line is redundant-just say never let a Democrat go to waste.
All of her goals make the trip out of Illinois that much easier. However, it would be interesting to know how many and the value of single-family homes that have been purchased by hedge funds in Illinois and what the tax incentive is. Is it only the regular tax paying citizens that get screwed in this state?
Holy cow, that’s her pitch? Might as well go on The View and say she can’t think of one thing JB’s done that she would change.
Somebody is going to try and save Pritzker’s ass.
As Mark Glennon has said here before about stories like this about Illinois politicians, the jokes write themselves.
What an embarrassment to Illinois.
