The unidentified suspect, a Mexican citizen, was in a Jeep that drove up near the agents and fired shots before driving away, federal sources said. At the time of his arrest, he was found with a firearm, sources said. The weapon allegedly used in the shooting has not been matched to shell casings found at the scene of the shooting.

Maybe the weapon in question, maybe not. I still don’t think undocumented immigrants are allowed to lawfully carry firearms in IL. FOID card, anyone?
Yeah, simple logic and common sense would say you are correct on who can and can not carry a firearm, but hey… this is Illinois…so…

Federal law states it’s unlawful for illegals to possess firearms.
According to this judge, illegals can own guns under the 2A, but law abiding residents of Illinois get their rights trampled, AR bans, magazine bans, FOID requirements, etc.
