It is rational for law-abiding residents to refuse to use the CTA. I used to take it all the time, but it just got dirtier/more urine-soaked, and more creepy. It is almost always filthy, and now not-rarely randomly dangerous. It becomes a cost thing, because now normal citizens and visitors must pay to take taxis/ rideshare cars. It is just one more thing that makes daily life in Chicago unpleasant for people just trying to live their lives and get ahead peacefully. Buh bye, Chicago.

Do you think Judge Teresa Molina-Gonzalez sleeps well at night?

Has Prickster or Johnson blamed Trump for this yet?
Or are they still pretending Chicago is a model city for safety?

no, but in order for this man to be prosecuted (because has has been released so many time by Cook County judges) it had to be elevated to federal charges so he could be actually prosecuted and incarcerated (apparently a bad word in Illinois)

He had previously assaulted and seriously injured social worker, but been released from custody by Cook County Judge Teresa Molina-Gonzalez. The Feds should not need to get involved in a case like this, but evidently Cook County can’t be relied on to prosecute it.

Never let this guy free again. Public transportation is not safe at any speed in Chicago.
The only good thing in Chicago lately is the Italian Beef Sandwich.

Lots of media buzz about this one. Unfortunately, he is but one of many released by judges ( named on the SCC/ CWB sites ) following the “ not horrible “ template of Tim Evans and the Safe T Act, or just doing their own activist/ SJW thing. And no, local media, the victim didn’t have an altercation with the perp, he simply walked up, doused her with gas and lit her alflame. Of course people on the train, maybe so as not to offend the sensibilities of the perp, saw fit to film the whole incident instead of rendering… Read more »

I think when there is video , you can drop the ” allegedly “. For this guy why bother with a trial. Just lock him up forever.
