Chicago leaders set to vote on downtown development plan Central Area Plan 2045 – ABC7 (Chicago)

This includes: creating more housing and entertainment options, a future CTA Madison Pink Line station on the Near West Side, a new office of nighttime engagement to energize Chicago after dark and repurposing vacant and underutilized sites downtown to accommodate more than 100 million square feet of new construction with the goal of creating over 50,000 new jobs.

What a waste of resources. Building more space for entertainment venues? For who? Everyone leaves before 5 that doesn’t want to get mugged or car jacked. Will the ridership on the pink line pay for the new station? There used to be a cost-benefit analysis done before millions were thrown at projects. No more as long as grifters get their grift. The definition of stupid is continuing to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over again and expect a different outcome. Or more concisely the definition of stupidity is Chicago administration.
