Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson calls Blue Line fire attack ‘isolated incident’ – Chicago Tribune/Yahoo

“The level of accountability that has to happen in this moment, I trust that the federal level will do its part,” Johnson said, before stressing, “All I can say is that as awful and as horrific as this tragedy is, this is an isolated incident. As we continue to invest more in our public transportation system, we want people to feel safe as they ride.”

The only thing “isolated” about this incident is the fact that it’s the only one where the victim was set on fire. Based on the statistics, there’s nothing isolated about serious crime on CTA trains.Seven homicides and 8 shootings through just 9 months of this year? And that doesn’t count the robberies and non-shooting assaults.

It’s not an isolated incident. This crime was publicized and he couldn’t cover it up, or downgrade the charges. What about the mother and her kids beat up by 10 year olds? That was an isolated incident too?

If the victim were black and the arsonist white Mayor Brandon would be calling for this person to be lynched.

How on earth can a rational non Marxist person think that qualifying this as an isolated incident has any sustance or value? When you have repeated violent attacks by different criminals, you have a systemic crime problem that is enabled by not letting police do their jobs, not having enough police because you have brass that don’t support them and politicians who are out to get them and defund them, lax prosecution, and miserable excuse of judges.

Idiot has probably already forgotten the girl that was stabbed on the El platform about a year ago and has to be ignoring the almost daily assaults and robberies on the trains and at the stations. This a hole will never admit to crime and who is committing them. It’s simply too much of an inconvenient fact for him.

Isn’t Illinois Fun?

He’s right! Setting people on fire on the El doesn’t happen often. It’s only non fire related violent attacks, shootings, robberies, and assaults that are not “isolated incidents” because they are almost daily occurrences.

The Pinhead diminishes the victim’s suffering and the severity of what-just-happened. The Pinhead places more rights for the nutball criminal here than compassion for the completely innocent victim. Mayor Pinhead…you do realize that an innocent woman, minding her own business, was purposely lit-on-fire on a train in your city by a criminal who your policies let back out into society over and over again?! Just an isolated incident. What a Jackass.

This atrocity is the result of soft on crime democrats, prioritizing career criminals over victims.

The moron. should declare public transportation as safe zones. That will ease everyone’s safety concerns.
