A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
There were 300 National Guard deployed per the Chicago Tribune. Unless they do math like CPS, it is hard to imagine that they paid $66K per guard for the month. On top of that, the federal government pays 75-80% of the costs of the Illinois Guard. I think that justifies a president using the Guard over the objections of a do-nothing governor.
It is just like Illinois grifters to take credit for something done by someone else.
