While Mayor Brandon Johnson has criticized his opponents' budget plan, he has not expressly stated if he would veto it should the City Council pass it.
That’s not how economics works in the minds of some folks. They spend more than they have and ask for even more assuming it’s a given that they will get it, or hope and pray that they hit something akin to a lottery. Irresponsibility, pipe dreams and luck are the order of the day for some folks.
If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
