What the Tribune failed to point out is that CPS forbids any unneeded school building to be sold and then used…as a school. You read that right – a building built as a school cannot be used as a school by any private or charter operator. So stop moaning about how you can’t sell your buildings, just sell them to the highest bidder in the fiscally responsible way.
