Data centers don’t generate all that much employment. Every time I visit one of my client’s data centers, I am surprised at how few people work there across all three shifts. The one nearest my home employs about 50. There are high level skill people working to, for example, to meet security standards and certifications, but in many cases such talents are consultants who have no need to work full time at the facilities. Well the jobs that it would bring probably wouldn’t hire any CPS graduates only because they would have to be proficient in reading and writing.
