These are college students? Good God. Muhammed Q needs to read a bit more and he’d find out that if you are in this country legally…you have nothing to be remotely concerned about. They claim that students are scared because ICE was operating someplace near the campus…good God… DePaul used to be focused on practical results, but looks like it has joined the ranks of most Universities and become just another whore of education, allowing the foreign tuition money to drive decisions and principals. Higher ed needs to get back to caring about teaching US Citizens and make them USStudentFirst.
DePaul was a practical results (get a job) oriented university in the 70’s, 80’s and even part of the 90’s. Lots of great business and law teaching there back in the day. Then it leaned much harder to the left, got on the international student bandwagon, and coddled the students who viewed themselves as victims. Now the international, full tuition, game has ended and financial pressures mount. Maybe DePaul should return to focusing on how young people in the region can become critical thinkers and gain meaningful employment?
