Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. This “challenge” could have been done years ago. Why now? Oh yeah, it’s an election year.
This resistance by blue states to the viewing of their voter rolls is ridiculous…
Why even have them, if no one can check them for accuracy…? ? ?
Democrats don’t want voter rolls cleaned up. Or voter ID. They wouldn’t be able to fraud like they do. I wouldn’t be surprised if my deceased parents and sister are still voting. And mail in ballots should have to be postmarked 1 week before Election Day. That way Democrats would not know preliminary vote totals so that they can’t vote dump for Democratic candidates. The Secretary of State won’t notify the election board when people move either. That’s not for citizen privacy, but to continue IL voter fraud.
Chicago kept me on their voter roll for over a year after I moved and registered to vote in my new state. I had to call and send an email request for them to remove me.
This is why state keeps pushing mail-in, you don’t even have to show up to vote illegally.
