A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
We believed that investing more money in education would lead to a better society. We invested more and more, but it’s never enough.
Now we are told that we can’t expect kids to be educated until we produce a better society. But keep increasing that investment. We were forced to graduate all these kids who are functionally illiterate. It’s what the parents and voters wanted!
And keep paying my pension that I got at age 55. How can you expect anyone to work until 67? You just don’t understand how hard it was! And also, you are just jealous.
Maybe CPS could close underutilized schools and lay off the staff associated with those schools. But CTU won’t allow this. Maybe CPS should require teachers to consistently show up for work and actually teach. More money won’t fix the education problems at CPS.

Chicago had schools nearly empty with 28 students and 32 union members that’s over 100k per student. Fix that first!
Because 27K(?) isn’t enough for per student that can neither read nor do math to their grade level and are more interested in marching around outside all day.
