"It’s one thing for purple-state governors to remain on the fence. But when even California, New York and Illinois are debating whether to give their parents access to choice dollars—in a nod to the danger of giving the GOP a wedge issue—the unions have a big problem."
Look to Illinois to see the destruction the teachers’ unions have wrought.
Not only in the schools but in the fiscal black hole the State of Illinois finds itself.
Time to kick all of them to the curb!!

That would help the president of the CTU out since she sends her son to a private school. Public schools for thee but not me.

You need a project done you hire the best contractor. You want what’s best for your kids you should have a choice what schools the best for them…..after this term would you want Braindead Johnson to teach your kid ?

There is no good reason that politics should enter our children’s education. Too many of our kids are below grade average in reading, science and math. Globally America ranks 26th in math, slightly better in reading and science but nowhere near the global leader in all three categories, CHINA! Time for the CTU and statewide union leaders to grow up! Educate our children properly without concern for political garbage. They are our future!
Agreed – but there is a lot of money revolving around public education and its the money that draws the attention of the politicians and crooks…one in the same most of the time. It is an opportunity for graft, fraud and contributions that can be hidden under the guise of “it all about the kids”…and everybody shuts up.

Maybe teachers unions should focus on education, not politics and indoctrination.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
