Illinois cities could face another cut to share of income taxes – Rockford Register Star

Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara has argued for years that the state has "stolen" the city's share of income taxes as it mandates huge pension cost increases. In dollars and cents, Rockford officials place the funding loss from a 2011 reduction of about 3.5 percentage points at about $143.5 million, or roughly $9.5 million a year.

All the theft aside, I’m sure the people of Rockford will still find it in their collective hearts to pull the lever in November for JB.

He’s a Democrat, but he’s absolutely right. Pritzker is proposing just taking another fistful of dollars from someone else’s pocket and putting it into his.

Talking about the Dem socialist eating each other. Rockford and the weak Mayor is crying to the state about money. The problem is they will not break rank and go after Springfield.
