Column: No longer the candy man, Pritzker got cold reception – Champaign News-Gazette

Jim Dey: "'I’ve been thinking a lot about love lately — about loving people and loving your country and the power involved in both. Love is a superpower. It teaches the brittle to bend, it shows the selfish how to share, it grants courage to the coward,” (Gov. JB Pritzker) told. An homage to love in the cutthroat world of Illinois politics? Love of what? Power? Perks? A gerrymandered legislative district in which to run for re-election?"

Now Guttman finally sees the light and shuts down the free candy store after giving it away for seven years and hurts the usual “ Gimmie More!” greedy, clutching suspects fragile feelings. Too little, too late Trust Fund- if you don’t get voted out people are going to leave IL in droves and let you feed on those unintelligent enough to keep you in office.
Rational, thinking people have had with you, your corrupt cronies and your enabling of lazy parasites.

Quite enjoyed the Maltese Falcon reference. Sidney Greenstreet is an apt comparison except Sidney had talent!

“Love”? Might’ve worked for The Beatles, but for JB?
Why doesn’t he try throwing around “Hope and Change”? That worked pretty well for Obama, unless he Trademarked the term.
Although, there’s little “Hope” for Illinois if he’s reelected, and JB Certainly is not the “Change” candidate. :-/

Pandering to all the Democrat special interest groups eventually backfires when they keep asking for more and more and, even for Pritzker, who needs their support, there isn’t any.

There once was a party so sunny,
That governed with other folks’ money.
The bonds tumbled down,
Still they painted the town—
Now it’s “No credit, no honey.”
