This is an unprecedented move by the school district that will disrupt the education of some 545 students. Eighteen-year-old Angeline Melody Solis said, “We don’t control the money and where the money goes so it really sucks that at the end of the day, we face the most consequences. ... There’s just so many things that should have been taken into account, besides the money.”
All of a sudden CPS is concerned about costs? This isn’t closing competition…noooo, its efficiency and stewardship of tax payer money…uh huh, because CPS is so focus on efficiencies. After all, hundreds of admin and teachers had to fly coach to Las Vegas and Italy for “conferences”.
The Crooks at CPS can blow 10’s of thousands of dollars on that crap…but have nothing to keep an actual school open. Corruption right in front of your face.

“CPS officials made this decision after they gave Aspira a Tuesday deadline to find outside funding to make it through the school year and to submit a financial plan for the future.”
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
