The movement’s stated goals are to impose fiscal restraint on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and place term limits on Congress and federal officials. The Convention of States needs support from 34 states to convene an Article Five convention that would propose constitutional amendments.
IF the convention was held (unlikely), it could NEVER be hijacked by the politicians involved, with a negative result. PS – would you like to buy the Chicago River? I can offer you a great deal!

I understand what the movement’s stated goals are, but why ignore it’s *real* goals? Why didn’t the article mention the CoS movement’s *other* desired amendments beyond the finance-related ones?

States need to be fiscally responsible and allow independent audits of all federal and state money for programs that are funded. States need to stop covering up all the fraud.

These political animals are <urinating> into the wind.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
