Kind of related to this, does Florian Sohnke still have his megaphone and the stack of flyers he hands out downtown? I stopped going to the office years ago, but he and the FBI sign guy were by far my two favorite “characters” in the Loop.

School choice is possibly a Sisyphusian effort in a state where public union campaign donations are infused into elected officials decisions. Never mind these same electeds went to and/or send their kids to private schools, in part because either their state salary is large enough they can afford it or because as part time state workers they have outside income that enables school choice. No choice for Chicago’ kids, per Stacey Gates and CTU.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
