Illinois could limit how local governments treat homeless people on the streets – Yahoo News/WBHF

Lawmakers are considering House Bill 1429. The proposal would ban local governments from arresting or fining homeless people who are doing things like sleeping, eating or resting outdoors, or anything considered to be a life-sustaining activity. Local governments would also be required to provide social services to anyone being removed if possible.

Again…let’s start the homeless camps in Wilmette, Winnetka, Lisle, Barrington. The AWFL enclaves need to show the rest how this is done. That way Illinois towns will start to look like the rest of the DNC schitehole tent cities.

Illinois political animals, the dumbest. Always.

And who is going to clean up after the homeless when the taxpaying citizens leave? Best of luck to BJ on the 20% hotel tax when people are literally stepping around crap in the city.

Any sane person should just start packing now. There are plenty of states that won’t drive you crazy and actually appreciate taxpaying citizens – Illinois just isn’t one of them.

It doesn’t take too much imagination to classify urination and defecation as life sustaining activities. The Gen Ass is gonna do it again!

“anything considered to be a life-sustaining activity”
Does that mean pissing or crapping on the sidewalks like in California?

Hello, Indiana!

Defecating and injecting drugs will also be considered life sustaining activities.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
