Everybody needs a side hustle these days, and mine is Ukraine. I’ve long had deep sympathy and respect for Ukraine, and I’ve followed it meticulously since the Russians invaded in 2022. The chance to visit arrived and I am there now, so please excuse my absence for a couple weeks.
My main purpose is to talk to ordinary Ukrainians to determine where they most need help. That’s with a view toward identifying the best philanthropic efforts to support, at least in my own small way. That’s not part of the Wirepoints mission, so I will be posting about Ukraine on my Substack page, which you can visit for free here. My first post there is up today.
No Russians in sight where I am. I’m pretty sure they ran for their lives when I arrived yesterday with my Wirepoints hat ; )
Actually, it’s safe where I am in western Ukraine, far away from the front. People here in Lviv are trying their best to live life as normal, as you can see below.

If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
