If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Arresting more people would reduce crime. Only four arrests out of a large group doesn’t sound like much of an impact, not to mention they were probably immediately released. It is like George Floyd and BLM all over again – arming police with water balloons and rubber bands. This summer is going to be bad in Chicago.
