Rich Miller: Safety-net hospitals, programs for homeless people could face cuts by Illinois – Chicago Sun-Times

“What some are calling ‘cuts’ are often temporary legislative add-ons returning to normal levels, or adjustments that better reflect demand,” the governor’s office claimed via a statement.

I learned a lot from Miller’s usual write up regarding the Governor. Not increasing spending is actually a cut due to inflation. Who would have thought? Federal funding is being cut by Trump and not instead being a situation of the Covid money running out. That is an interesting spin Finally, while not news, I noted Pritzker is still clamoring for a “fair tax system” that I assume means a graduated tax schedule to be imposed on the already heavily burdened Illinois taxpayer.
