Commentary: Barack Obama was the shadow architect of a Chicago-style treasure box museum – Chicago Tribune*

"There will always be something profoundly odd about the windowless — by design — exhibition spaces occupying a large swath of the tower. This isn’t really what Sullivan had in mind when he dictated 'form follows function.' The image of the tower is clearly not meant to be easy, in the same way that American democracy isn’t easy in the 21st century."

“(President Barack Obama) was one of the clients who walks in and says, ‘Well, if I hadn’t been a president, I would’ve been an architect,’” architect Billie Tsien recalls.

So Obama, is George Costanza. I tried reading the whole article, I had to give up.

Please…there is no comparison with the architecture of Sullivan! It is reminiscent of a giant garbage can. Try reading the words at the top. It is a giant fail, as is the person it represents.

Form follows function? Obama realized this, which is why there are so few windows on lower floors. When the the firey, but mostly peaceful mob does come it will be hard to torch this place.

Gee why didn’t they build it at Martha’s
Vinyard? Those wealthy folk would be pleased as punch.

Hmm.. any chance the Great Divider that barely conceals his disdain for America and promised to “ fundamentally change “ it, while enriching himself and his “ systemic racism “ crying wife, intentionally put up a butt ugly edifice to himself worthy of ‘60’s style Soviet architecture?
