Aldermen: How do we get fair elections in Chicago? Public financing for candidates is one step. – Chicago Tribune*

Maria Hadden, Andre Vásquez, Mike Rodríguez, Matt Martin and Jeylu Gutiérrez: "That’s why we have worked with nearly two dozen community organizations to introduce the Fair Elections Ordinance. The program would provide up to $200,000 in matching funds for aldermanic races, multiplying a $25 contribution into $325."

Forget fair elections! Chicago “ain’t ready for reform yet!” The spirit of Bathouse John Coughlin and Hinky Dink Kenna lives!

Fair elections?

Election Day
Vote in person with ID
No mail-in ballots
Absentee ballots to deployed military only

Anything else is more political animal bovine excrement. These political animal emissions are the stock in trade for the children activists at the Trib.

Neither the Tribune article nor the web-site for the proposal identifies the source of funds for this program. Let me guess—a poll tax? LOL
