Editorial: CTU’s ‘dead on arrival’ sound bite is no answer to the CPS budget woes – Chicago Tribune*

"This is what happens when an immovable object (CTU) meets an unstoppable force (CPS’ financial crisis). Financial reality tends to win eventually. The teachers union has been unwilling to acknowledge the district’s lack of resources; now the union has to deal with the consequences of that painful reality."

“… now the union has to deal with the consequences of that painful reality.”? No they won’t.
They’ll hold the proverbial gun to the heads of Democrat Lawmakers (that depend on Teacher’s Union footsoldiers and campaign donations to get elected) to get what they want.
And if those Dems relent, the CTU will just Strike to inflict Maximum Pain and Chaos on the Parents of the Students that depend on school to be a babysitter while they’re working. Let’s face it, it’s Not like we haven’t seen this scenario before. :-/

All the upset teachers should stand by their morals and quit – that’s show them!

Disband CTU. They are a far left political activist group, not a union. CTU could care less about educating students.
