A portrait of immigrants in Chicago: Immigrant population reaches its highest point in nearly two decades – WBEZ (Chicago)

An estimated 597,415 immigrants comprise about 22 percent of the city’s population, according to 2024 data released by the U.S. Census Bureau Thursday. Last year’s immigrant population count was the highest in Chicago since 2006 and bucks the trend of its slow but relatively steady decline over the last two decades.

Hello, Indiana!

Wow! IL and CHI are rife with illegals getting the free everything that they were promised! Astounding! Not.

So, as has been pointed out before numerous times, immigrants, legal or illegal, with few financial resources, are replacing middle class residents with significant financial resources who are leaving IL. Sounds like win win for Pritzker and IL. Who says IL population is declining? Sure, at what cost as these immigrants are soaking up limited social benefits.

WBEZ, true to their Democrat Communist propaganda cause, doesn’t differentiate between legal immigrants and criminal illegal immigrant aliens. In fact the legally precise and correct phrase criminal illegal immigrant aliens doesn’t appear in their propaganda piece at all. WBEZ are lying propaganda scum, I am happy that my tax dollars no longer fund this Democrat Communist Pravda mouthpiece. I hope their financial demise is as soon as possible.

The only think that might be said in defense of WBEZ is that they are so lost in La La Land that they really believe they are writing in earnest.
