Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”

Taxes will have to go higher to cover for the loss, which will cause more people to leave the state.

It would be one thing if the elected officials in Illinois acknowledged the many problems the state faces and were working on implementing changes to address them. Instead, they are doubling down on the policies and programs that created the situation. Also, we were told be a CTU member that they recently talked about us at one of their house of delegate meetings, proclaiming us as a huge enemy and posting my picture in their presentation.
