A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
How about an amendment to fix the ridiculous pension perks? Oh, no!! That can’t be messed with!
That’s ultimately arguable. You can make a bet on which side wins because that battle will happen at some point. If Roe vs. Wade is overturned and makes something once thought as constitutionally protected which later is declared unconstitutional, then how safe is any other constitutional “guarantee”? We’ve been allowed by history to believe that constitutionally protected activities were going to be forever considered inviolable.
