As if we’re the ones with the deficiencies. Ask Pritzker a few simple math questions, lol.

Mejor, preguntele a Pritzker cuanto pesa, jaja

Knowing different languages, if you can’t think properly, doesn’t do you much good, by the way, people.

Dr. Del Rios was born in Puerto Rico so she’s a US citizen.
Next time you want to call someone a dumb broad look in the mirror while doing that.

Madigan’s district is heavily populated by Hispanics meaning quite simply that this group of individuals has a lot to say with what everyone does in this state…hence this situation not only does not surprise me but expected it considerably time wise before now.

Madigan’s district has changed considerably over the years. It’s no longer irish working class and is now very hispanic. However, he isn’t getting the hispanic vote, in fact, he took steps to dilute the hispanic vote by recruiting fake hispanic candidates to run in the primary against his real hispanic opponent. apparently these ‘dirty tricks’ are all legal too, unfortunately:

https://www.illinoispolicy.org/madigan-lawyers-dirty-tricks-alleged-in-election-lawsuit-are-not-a-crime/

He relies on the same, IIRC, 15-20,000 votes every election from the same “vote blue no matter who madigan screws” who keep him in power of his district, and the state.

Madigan is 78. He’ll die, resign or be indicted one day. Then, a Hispanic will replace him. ?

Many wonderful languages are spoken in Chicago. ?

In your not very humble opinion. Delivering official messages in Spanish first is nearly as goofy as the sign language charade we see when our “important” public figures speak to us. (Try a printed out sub-title, you PC-oriented wimps)

Yes, in my very humble opinion. Chicago is fortunate to have many cultures and languages, including German and Spanish. ???

I retired from a large (Fortune 50) company. Let’s reverse what she said. Had an executive speaker said, . . . . “I will now speak in Spanish for those who don’t understand English” HR would have required sensitivity training. It would have been only for show, but executive or not she would have been subject to it.

I’m not interested in replacing my culture and language with theirs. If I wanted to do that, I would have gone to them. I don’t have anything against other ethnicities or cultures. But it’s funny, they come here and expect me to change to accommodate their love of socialism, political views and way of life. And the Democrats go right along with them, turning around an name calling me, simply because I want to retain my identity. Has anyone ever wondered why democrats can’t get enough people that already live here to agree with them, but must focus on illegals… Read more »

Puerto Rico being a part of Mexico is a joke. Puerto Ricans hate being mistaken for Mexican. Because most Puerto Ricans are totally racist against Mexicans. So when this lady calls me Spanish speaking deficient, in her own totally offensive racist way of chiding anglo americans, I have every right to her that I think Puerto Rico is part of Mexico, just to throw her offensive racist comments right back at her. Her little comment wasn’t just a microaggression, it was totally an offensive, insensitive and hateful macroaggression. Even if she meant it only as a dead panned joke.

All of a sudden there isn’t much outrage in Calif. over rapid deportation of border jumpers. I wonder why. Recyclable plastic bags have also suddenly gone out of fashion–in some stores you can’t even bring them inside.

Latinx isn’t even a real word and the spanish language officials in Spain refuse to acknowledge it as a real word and discourage its use. JB as a white man has no standing to force his degenerate values on the machismo latin culture. It’s culturally imperialistic, condescending and disgraceful. Impeach JB now.

Some say machismo is imperialistic. Latino/a/x is mostly used in the US. Spain can’t control those words. ?

they need to stop the cultural appropriation… nobody not a single frickin native speaker talks like that… its the language, it has masculine and feminine words which mean different things… you can’t just make up a word and say that if you don’t follow it you’re a bigot, what the hell clown world are we living in, who gives these lunatics power to do these sorts of things?

Latino, Latina and LatinX are terms used in the US to describe Americans of Hispanic and Brazilian (Latin American) descent. ?

Those terms aren’t used in Latin American countries, Spain and Portugal. The names of the various Latin American countries are used instead. ?

Subconsciously revealing what she’d like to happen when Spanish speakers are in the majority? Hints of Quebec or various south-Asian republics long under a Russian bureaucracy? There’s something “off” about it, but it’s a bit like trying to describe a wine from reading the back of the bottle. Overbearing aroma with undertones of vindictiveness and resentment. Goes well with hemlock or arsenic.

A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board. That means schools like Manley High School, with capacity for more than 1,000 students but enrollment of just 78, can’t be closed for anther three years. The school spends $45,000 per student, but just 2.4% of students read at grade level.
