Black business leader speaks out about ‘fair tax’ harms, gets axed from Pritzker event – Illinois Policy

“Since [Pritzker] took office, he has turned down seven requests from the ILBCC to meet or have him speak to our members. If he had sat down with us to discuss his agenda, he would have known our concerns. Gov. Pritzker is the first Illinois governor in our history not to meet with us,” wrote Illinois State Black Chamber of Commerce President Larry Ivory.

Pritzker is the epitomy of White Privilege as defined by BLM , so
Why are they granting safe harbor to him and his?
Pritzker Trusts are inheritance-tax evasion mechanisms, and shouldn’t lax taxation of generational wealth preservation be at the heart of the debate about white privilege? Of course if non-white billionaires employ generational-wealth preservation mechanisms they must also be made to pay their fair share.
Point is, sincere protesters could avoid inevitable characterizations as opporrunistic hypocrites if they went after Illinois governor, who has the power to make meaningful change at his own will.

I hope everyone is waking up because it is very CLEAR that the governor and his Dem pals don’t care to listen to differing opinions. VOTE ALL OF HIS CRONIES OUT! We need to take back control of our state. Pritzker’s time is up in 2 years. Flip the… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
