This article is a microcosm on why socialism never seems to deliver no mater how hard it’s tried or when the consequences of being a capitalist us death.
Seriously, there was a reason there was nothing to buy on Soviet Union store shelves in the 1970s and woke blue state Democrats still can’t wrap their heads around cause & effect.
This article is painful. A non-profit coffee shop purposely operating at a loss because they don’t want to pass along some of the increased costs their customers who are largely still too afraid to dine indoors at cafes. Business models based on precociousness. Then we wonder why there aren’t any “x” in neighborhood “y”.
With all the hubbub about unionizing Starbucks why don’t all these unionistas patronize these small shops instead? On the flipside, how does the compensation at a small coffee shop compare to that of a Starbucks?
