In a statement, Fitch said the downgrade is due to disagreements between the Johnson administration and the City Council, adding that the disagreements have "impeded decision timeliness and the development of a credible and comprehensive plan to restore structural balance."

Until the supporting bond markets completely withhold issuing new debt and stop picking up the unsold issuance balances, this will change nothing. After all, these are CPS leaders and they don’t know the difference between an A, B or C because they always get a pass.

It’s hard to believe that any functional humans voted for either of these two piles, leave alone the rest of the miscreants you genius’ continue to elect.

Such was the S.S. City of Chicago during Richard M. Daley’s time in office. Above the waterline, the ship looked just fine. Below decks, shipboard personnel were already aware of a serious problem. Their paychecks cleared, so they went about their more mundane duties. The Rahmfather’s time as skipper was marked by ‘Naah, it’ll be fine.’ management of the problem. Lori Lightweight thought that opening the hull… Read more »
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
