Chicago gets its first-ever LGBTQ+ affairs director, Antonio King – Chicago Sun-Times

King’s marching orders from the mayor are to devise a policy plan tailor-made to “strengthen protections and opportunities” for LGBTQ+ Chicagoans. It will tackle everything from eliminating health disparities to providing support and resources to “business owners within the LGBTQ+ community who have sometimes felt ignored or not as visible [to] previous administrations,” King said.

Another hire by the Johnson administration This hire will need a full staff, taxpayers will be funding larger government in the city. Didn’t the mayor put a freeze on hiring ?

Maybe Chicago needs to represent all people in Chicago, not just identity group members. Just another political hire to support his friends
