Chicago may end natural gas hookups for new homes, businesses – Chicago Sun-Times*

WATCHDOGS_062319_3.JPG “The burning of fossil fuels is no longer a viable option,” said Angela Tovar, the city’s chief sustainability officer. The city is already looking at “decarbonizing” some city libraries, for instance, she said.

Great idea – let’s heat our homes with fairy dust!

It’s the Windy City. Hot air from politicians will provide all the heat needed to bankrupt the Illinois citizenry.

Great idea. Let’s screw the homeowners. Natural gas is the cleanest and cheapest way to heat a house in Northern climates. But let’s not let them do that in Chicago. How do Chicagoans put up with this lunacy year after year, decade after decade?

What is the word that can be used for people who are mentally deficient? These folks would be the picture under the definition in the dictionary…

more eco-nutter progressive ideas copied from calfifornia where things are going so well, especially for low income folks (ha). I think this says more about lightweights voter base than anything else–i.e. the upper-income virtue signaling progressive vote is what counts in chicago

Don’t worry about costs to be limited to the lower income types as there will soon be a program to hook them up for free with the costs belong picked up by the taxpayers as it always is

Don’t see any mention of what is alternative to natural gas. Electric? When over 80% of electric comes from fossil fuels? After all the ComEd scandals and payoffs to politicians? What’s higher, your electric bill, especially in summer with the AC, or your gas bill? You can control your gas bill more easily than your electric bill unless you give up lights, computer, TV, cooking, water heater.

The best alternative is harnessing the hot air all the politicians that spew out nonstop from their mouths. Whomever figures on how to do this will become a trillionaire and we have an unlimited power source.

There is no alternative. We live in a cold northern climate where energy is a necessity for survival. The sustainability officer knows this. But she is a communist, and she is OK with YOU making the sacrifice to satisfy her ideological goals. They know people will die without heat and consistent electricity, especially in the winter. It is a well known fact that more people die from cold every year than heat throughout the world. But the communist does not care. They are a death cult.

Spot on debtsor. In fact, cheap energy, like natural gas, benefits the poor greater than any other economic group. And the US is awash in cheap natural gas. The Dems war on the poor through higher energy costs across the board is pure evil.
Has SJW Tovar and her SJW minions canceled their gas service and removed their meters? I think we know the answer.

Per Jamie Dimon: In separate – and far more provocative -comments made earlier in the day during a JPMorgan investor seminar where he led a fireside chat moderated by JPMorgan’s Gergana Thiel, Dimon made some extremely outspoken comments which however you won’t hear on the mainstream media, telling a small group of listeners that was closed to the press that the “President of the Unites States needs to stand up and say we may not meet our 2050 climate objectives because this is a f* cking war”. He also said “time to stop going hat in hand to Venezuela and Saudi and… Read more »

Wow, how stupid does one have to be to pay huge capital costs in the form of electric infrastructure and nat gas power plants only to lose efficiency. Way cheaper to burn the gas for heating.

Pure waste of money. If they think there will be only wind and solar and batteries. God help the people of Illinois as there will be massive blackouts at huge insane cost levels.

The attacks on Trump by the Deep State, the career DC swamp, and the media apparatus they control is designed to discourage sober, responsible, rational people from seeking the job.

They only want the controllable/corrupt in the role.

This guarantees you will only see either teflon-coated, full-throated fighters (like Trump) seek the role of President or career/corrupt/severely compromised politicians like Xiden.

I really hope it’s the former.

Not my words, Dimon’s.
I am not a fan of Joetato, his family, nor his party.

Thus the argument for Fetterman.

Dumbest darned argument ever!

We need competent intelligent and mentally uncompromised individuals running this country, not the incompetent, mentally compromised, in the name of “equity,” Shouts of ‘abelism,’ ‘ageismm, or whatever the hell other ‘ism’ they come up with doesn’t qualify a candidate, but it should cue the electorate into looking and listening more intently.
