Chicago Public Schools, Teachers’ Union Turn To Arbitrator To Help Reach New Contract – Chalkbeat Chicago

This fact-finding process involving an arbitrator has been used three times since it was established in state law in 2010. Twice, teachers still ended up going on strike. Under the timeline required by the law, the soonest a strike could now occur would be mid-April.

Just close it. Fire them all. Don’t restart it. Sell the buildings. Implement school choice to include allowing parents to use their tax dollars with the school they wish. Let the chips fall where they may.

Strike beginning Monday and make it a Black History Month to remember. The school kids will be overjoyed ! Their parents that see school as a free daycare, not as much.
