For all the negative feedback received about that building, I wouldn’t be surprised if they razed it and started over or at least performed major renovations to it. Of course, either way, taxpayers will be glad to help out.

How could they ruin the park and the community that way. Some times I think the Obama hates Chicago and our country. Can we tear it down and fix the park?
The comparison of this tribute to Soviet architecture and the gleaming Trump building in Chicago is astonishing. The Obama Temple of Fealty has burned through $830 million in cash so far and it’s still not finished and way behind schedule. Trump Tower was built for $847 million and was completed on time and under budget. Suggestion, maybe a quick design change is in order—cover the whole thing in shag carpet and put a couple giant hoop handles at top!! and rename the C-bagger Center for Chicago’s top C-bagger…a temple for Stacy, Brando, Tony, etc, etc and all the other C-bagger $$$$equity hustlers$$$ who moved here to cash-in on the hustle while claiming they’re not “machine” while being in the “machine” while “fighting for the working class” can have a temple to prey…so VERY SORRY this is OVER THE TOP…(NOT)!!!!

Frederick Law Olmsted designed a beautiful park. Over time of course the park might have some changes but the essence of it should have been preserved. To rip out a 19 acre chunk for this Soviet style raised bunker eyesore is a travesty, especially as an ode to a politician. That all said, will the monstrosity truly lift the neighborhood economically?
