The Skyway is about 7.8 miles long. So, it now costs approximately $1 per mile. Talk about being gouged.

A 60-cent increase doesn’t sound bad until you realize that’s over eight percent. But I thought the feds told us the inflation rate was less than three percent. If the inflation rate is that low, that 60-cent increase seems, you know, abusive.

I have mixed feelings about the Skyway. I’ve used it going back and forth to Detroit a few times. Its less traffic while you’re on it that’s for sure, nothing to pull off for, you’re certainly not paying for the view, it’s more expensive than going to Windsor, Ontario from Detroit…..
If Scotty could just beam me up to where I want to go I’d be fine with it…..
The “Skyway” is like one of those projected”Miracles From The Wonder World of 1960!” displayed at the GM “Futurama” Pavilion at the 1939 NY World’s Fair, Old Joe…
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
