Chicago Teachers Union demands ‘no work, no school’ May 1 shutdown – Illinois Policy

CTU is joining a national resistance movement called “May Day Strong,” whose organizers say 500,000 workers and families will walk out that day, supposedly sticking it to billionaires while really just affecting the services middle-class families need. It’s the same type of progressive activism that drew criticism in 2024 when CTU took kids out of school for a “day of political engagement” and got caught telling kids what to vote for.

How about – No work/No School…find a new job. They walk out…fire them – all. Start over.

Teachers only work 180 days a year in Taxistan.

CTU motto should be – Hardly Work and Get Paid for a Full Year!!

Doesn’t really matter. The kids don’t learn anything even when they’re in school!

The communist/fascist CTU wants a day off work on May Day, which was also an important holiday in the communist USSR.

Sadly absenteeism is chronic in Chicago schools. Whats one more day! TChildren nationally are being taught political idealism over academics. They will have a tough time finding a job after graduation.

Just another step on the path to communism. Old holidays honoring the nation’s fathers or religious in nature, gone! Statues of great men that helped forge this country or defend it, gone! History books that focus on the glory of America and how the rest of the world seeks to replicate it, gone! All replaced with an anti- capitalist, anti- white, lack of responsibility and accountability for one’s actions rhetoric.

No work ,No school ,No Pay ,No Learn. If teachers were paid by how well and how much students learn from them ,how many would be dog walkers ?
