Mayor Brandon Johnson was inaugurated May 15, becoming one of the most radical city leaders in the country. He’s proposed new taxes worth about $800 million, including a financial transactions tax that would make it impossible for CME to do business in Chicago.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
