Kankakee county is under PTELL jurisdiction. Any property tax abatement given to them will most likely be passed on to all other homes and businesses in the form of a higher tax rate. If you live in that county check to see if in fact it will be passed on in any public meetings that are held. Nothing is free (government) just passes it to others to pay for.
